Carnival Rio 🇧🇷 2025: Unbelievable!
Intro
I try my best to stay on top of this blog, but sometimes things just happen (such as this trip) where I cannot keep up. Why? It was so much down in Brasil. Words cannot describe how incredible this place is during carnival, but I am going to try. 🇧🇷
While I will have a whole series of posts in the future, I wanted to share a couple of pictures.
A Non-Stop Party
Over the course of my life, I have always loved a good party, from clubbing in Dakar to Myanmar 😉🥴, and all over the world (not much anymore though). However, there is no party or festival anything like the carnival in Rio. This carnival takes over the whole country, millions of people fill the streets, drunk and high by 8 am in the morning.
The blocos are on a whole different level. You can pretty much walk 5 minutes in any direction and find a giant party on the street.

In all honesty, this place feels like it has no rules. Drugs fill the beaches, the military doesn't care about much (that doesn't put people in extreme danger) and it is all just a great fun time.

The People
Going into Rio De Janeiro I thought that crime would be high. Honestly, I was surprised to see how safe I felt during my time in Rio except for one aspect: the UK tourists. While everyone I met at the blocos, on the beach, and all over was amazingly friendly, these drunk UK tourists tried to snatch my phone.

I can't begin to express my gratitude to these people that I met, everyone was a top-tier individual (minus some UK tourists).
We Went Yachting
One of my favorite aspects of life is being out on the water. So when the opportunity presented itself to rent a boat for half a day at a reasonable cost, I saw no problem with doing so. Compared to the likes of Miami or other countries in the West, this was extremely cheap (overall, still expensive. What a day it was out on the water as well, watching planes land with Sugarloaf in the background,

The company I chose to go with was amazing, and I'll be writing a review of them soon enough!
I Have The Worst Hangover...
For starters, I would just like to say that I do not do drugs anymore (3 years). However, even without drugs, carnival is a complete bender. You wake up, eat, party, barely sleep, and rinse and repeat. It's just how it is. Coming back now I am certainly feeling the effects of it, and I couldn't imagine what life would be like if I was some of the people I met who were off their rockets skiing ⛷️.
I am just being honest here... don't shoot the messenger.

Final Thoughts
Carnival in Rio De Janeiro was nothing short of exceptional. Just wow. If you have ever thought about going, I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a one-of-a-kind party that is simply out of this world. Just show respect to people and people will show respect back (almost always).
