Wide Open Award Space To Everywhere March 2025

If it happens to be winter for you in the United States, or perhaps somewhere else across the world, you might need a vacation. Well, you'll be pleased to know that airlines have released a sh*tload of award space throughout March to Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, and more. If you ever wanted a vacation on points, now is your time to do so!
Europe
If Europe happens to be on your bucket list, you'll be pleased to know that there is plenty of award space to and from the US. United has released plenty of saver seats not only on their own metal but also on partners like Lufthansa and Swiss Airlines heading over from IAD/JFK/EWR/LAX/SFO to multiple destinations in Europe. You basically have a huge choice here.
If you are lucky enough, I have also seen plenty of last-minute First Class seats being released to United...
Unfortunately, a lot of these award seats aren't showing up through other partners, so you might be confined to United for this...
If you are a Oneworld flyer there is no need to fret, as there is plenty of space over to Europe as well! While you can fly on the likes of American Airlines, there is space available on British Airways over to England on almost 2/3 of the days in March. Yes, there are high surcharges, but it's an easy redemption for a fantastic product.
Africa
Now, this is one that I have rarely seen before. In the month of March, you can find saver space to Africa almost every single day through United Airlines to Johannesburg with ET. On certain days, there happens to even be saver space on the nonstop Polaris flight from Newark to Johannesburg. Considering this is a great time to visit Africa, I cannot recommend hopping on this quickly enough.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a place where fares tend to be quite high, and award space can be tricky to come by unless booking directly through Cathay Pacific. However, United Airlines has dumped a large portion of saver space between Los Angeles and Hong Kong through the month of March. For 100K miles, you can kick back and relax on this 16-hour flight in style.
Dubai
Lastly, if you are thinking about heading to Dubai, this is the time to do it. It's perfect weather this time of year before the brutal summer heat comes, and award availability is decently open through United. Unfortunately, am not seeing the same good costs through Skyteam or Oneworld at the moment. However, for 80K miles, you can find connecting space from the US-Europe, and then onward to Dubai! Not bad!
Final Thoughts
If you have some time off in March or can take a week off, this is the time to use up some of those credit card points for a vacation. With wide open award space to all over Africa, Hong Kong, and Europe, the options that you have are plentiful in every regard. Perhaps you could indulge in a great safari down in South Africa or roam the streets of Amsterdam.
