Intro
Prior to my flight from Boston to New York (and then onward to Los Angeles), I had the opportunity to visit the American Airlines Admirals Club in Boston. Interestingly, this was the first time since COVID-19 that I had the chance to visit any Admirals Club, so I was curious to see what it had in store.
In all honesty, it's quite a nice space, with plenty of natural light, nice staff, and a variety of amenities. However, for those splurging on transcon tickets, it's a bit of a letdown compared to Chelsea...
Location+Access
Finding the Admirals Club at Boston Logan is a relatively straightforward task. It's in Terminal B, located by Gate B4, where outside you will see a sign that is pretty hard to miss.

Once at the door, a kind agent will be there to see if you meet one of the criteria to access the lounge, which are as follows:
Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire holders (outside of AA and AS) on any OW-operated flight
AA and AS members flying internationally on an OW-operated flight
International First and Business Class passengers
Those in Business or First flying (BOS-LAX) (same-day transcon applies as well)
Militairy
A membership to the Admirals Club
One-day pass holders (79$, expensive)
The lounge is open from 4:00 am to 8:30 pm
Seating
The lounge is laid out across a variety of rooms within one room, each part offering different aspects to the lounge. Upon entering, there is a gorgeous piece of furniture in the center, followed by some high-top chairs off to the side.
This part of the lounge is where you will find phone booths and a small room for napping featuring 3 reclining seats.

Moving along, you come across the main room featuring a variety of options for seating. Whether you are looking for something resembling a couch, perhaps some chairs to sit and enjoy a coffee, or the swanky high American couch design, they have it all.
The best part is the tarmac views that you get from this part of the lounge...

If you are looking for something even more private, there are a couple of rooms off to the side with about 10 seats per room.

Finally, you have the back part of the lounge, which is where the bar/buffet is, and this features a more dining-esque type of seating.

And that's pretty much it. The whole space feels airy, has natural light, the seats are in good condition, and there are power ports at most seats.
Buffet
Similar to the Delta SkyClubs and United Clubs, American offers a buffet that changes throughout the day depending on the time. Located in the back part of the lounge, I was pleased to see a couple of different options available for breakfast this morning.

Pastries, bagels, and all the fun stuff were available to be warmed up.

Drinks/Bar
If you are anything like me, coffee is perhaps the most important part of visiting an airport lounge (after mimosas). It's a good thing that American has provided two coffee stations, one at the front of the lounge and one by the buffet.

Additionally, there are soda machines available, "fresh" orange juice, and plenty of water to be found.

Feeling the need for a 7 am airport beer, you are in luck, as American offers a lovely bar featuring certain drinks that are free of charge, and higher-end stuff that costs.

I was saving myself for the Krug at the Chelsea Lounge... so I only had 2 mimosas...
Amenities+Service
While I didn't photograph the amenities on offer since I was in a pinch, these are the following, which you can expect to find:
Showers are available
Bathrooms are available
Free wifi for all guests
Reclining chairs for a nap near the entrance
But now, for where the lounge really shines, service. Maybe this is just becasue I somewhat live in New York, but I found everyone throughout the lounge to be very friendly and have a smile on their face. The bartender, the agents at the front, and the staff throughout the lounge were not just efficient, but also did everything with a smile.
So yeah, I am impressed...
Final Thoughts
I'll be frank, I am not one who has visited tens of Admirals Clubs across the country, but comparing the American Airlines Admirals Club to the UA clubs and DL's, I found this lounge to be top notch. The lounge was relatively empty during my time there (10-11 am), the food was acceptable, the amenities were plentiful, and the service was top tier. For a lounge that you can access through a membership, this is an impressive place.
My only caveat is that I wish there were a more premium, sectioned-off part to the lounge for Flagship First passengers. I'll stick take it...
