Swiss Airlines Adds Caviar For Limited Time

Konrad Tillman

Intro

Swiss Airlines, the flag carrier of Switzerland, has just announced that it has added a caviar-tasting menu on certain flights in First Class. If you happen to be flying the airline in the next few weeks, my gosh, you are in for an absolutely delicious caviar service.

The Details

Starting February 19th and ending the 4th of March, passengers departing from Zurich or Geneva with a ticket in Swiss Airlines First Class will be able to partake in the caviar tasting menu.

The tasting menu is as follows:

The first option is Osietra Carat by Oona from Switzerland

The second option is Prunier Osciètre Classic by Balik and Caviar House from France

The third option is Kaviari Kristal by Sense of Delight from China

My Thoughts

Swiss Airlines takes a different approach to its dining, as it doesn’t constantly serve caviar to all First Class customers. It is on rotation throughout the year which I think is a pretty cool feature. Obviously most people flying First Class on the airline are probably frequent flyers with the airline, hence I imagaine this is to spice up the menu quite a bit. Serving three different caviars is practically unheard of, and the quality seems fantastic!

A lot of people in the points and miles sector get sort of irritated that you cannot book Swiss Airlines First Class with points, but I think it is actually a good thing. Part of flying First Class is knowing that you are going to have a peaceful experience, and in general, if you can’t redeem points for the product, it’s the travelers that are most looking to rest…

Final Thoughts

Swiss Airlines has just introduced their latest First Class offering for the next two weeks, and it looks incredible. Passengers flying First Class until March 4th will be offered a variety of caviars ranging from local Swiss caviar to French and as far as Chinese caviar. The only issue is I can’t get onboard in time 😒
