Review: British Airways Business Class Lounge Edinburgh
Intro
Before my flight from Edinburgh to London, I had the opportunity to visit the British Airways Business Class Lounge at Edinburgh Airport. I have to say, this was a lounge that extremely impressed me from top to bottom. Seeing as British Airways offers 21 daily flights between the two cities, I never felt that this lounge got too crowded (it gets busy sometimes in the afternoon but not overcrowded). With a decent food and drink selection, I would be more than happy to spend a few hours here.
Location+Access
For those looking to head to the lounge, head through immigration and over to Gate 5. Across the way from the gate area, there will be a large Blue sign indicating “British Airways Lounge.” It’s pretty hard to miss in any regard, as it really stands out in that part of the terminal.

Hours: 5:30 am- 8:30 pm
When it comes to access, this lounge follows the standard Oneworld lounge access rules.
Oneworld Sapphire members gain access to the lounge
Oneworld Emerald members gain access to the lounge
Those flying in Club Europe
Those connecting onto a same-day ticket to Club World/First Class*
For the last point, I would like to add that I had some kickback before my first class flight from London to Los Angeles. I happened to be flying economy on a separate ticket to London, and the agent gave me some pushback. After showing them the rules, they eventually let me in.
Seating
Stepping into the lounge, the part that impressed me was how decorative the furniture looked. This lounge has a soft revamp back in mid-2023, and thus, I imagine that is why it looks so spick and span.

There are a couple of rooms to choose where to sit. There is a main room by the food, which offers a decent amount of seating, and then two back rooms, which are much more private. My recommendation is one of the back rooms if possible.

Additionally, there are also workstations with closing doors (much like the Polaris Lounges).

Food+Drink
British Airways has always done decently on its business-class lounge offerings, and the lounge in Edinburgh was no different. During breakfast hours, I was happy to find pastries, sausages, sandwiches, and bacon. I ended up concocting a makeshift bacon sandwich in the lounge (yum). What do they call it in the Chelsea Lounge? A bacon butty?

And drinks, well, in my opinion, there is quite a decent selection. British Airways has had a partnership with Bottega for a while now, but the most impressive part is that the airline offers 3 different types of Don Julio. That’s not a cheap tequila, and it's even more expensive when in the UK.

Of course, for those that don’t drink, there are plenty of options ranging from fresh juices to soda/fizzy drinks (shoutout to the UK here) and more.

Amenities
In terms of amenities, there is one thing I am not so sure about. I don’t believe that British Airways offers any showers in this lounge (I cross checked other reviews and also couldn’t see anything). However, they do have some toilets inside of the lounge, which seem to be kept clean.
Of course, free wifi is provided as well.
Final Thoughts
The British Airways Lounge at London Heathrow isn’t a bad place to spend a few hours. With some decent food options, some mid-high level liquors, and lovely BA service, I was happy with the morning I spent here (granted, I didn’t sleep the night prior and was dead tired). Just keep in mind the aspect surrounding showers if that is important to you.
