Wide Open LOT Polish Airlines Award Space To Europe

If you are looking at heading over to Europe sometime this year, you'll be pleased to know there is a decent airline currently opening up plenty of award space to partners: LOT Polish Airlines. Take advantage of this soon, as there seems to be up to 4 seats available on certain days!

I recently reviewed the LOT 787-9 Business Class product from New York to Warsaw, and it's not bad. Especially if you are traveling with someone you know!

The Details

Pretty much here from now until the end of the Calendar year, I am seeing scattered award space from Toronto, New York JFK, Newark, Los Angeles, and Chicago over to Warsaw. If Warsaw isn't your final destination, you can easily spend a nice day exploring the capital of Poland.

If you are looking to take advantage of this redemption opportunity, your best bet is to book these flights through Aeroplan. 70K points to Europe isn't a bad deal, and you can even tack on a couple of more flights if your destination is to Asia for an extra 17.5K points.

Aeroplan points are relatively easy to come by. My favorite way to acquire these points is to transfer them over from AMEX, as they are usually instant.

The LOT Business Class Product

LOT has a decent business class product, certainly not the best in the sky, but also not the worst by any means. Considering how much award space there happens to be to Europe, this is something that I would personally take advantage of if I was going to Europe...

However, if you really want some more privacy on LOT, look out for their 777-200, which operates one of the daily routes to New York JFK. That plane is set up in a 1-2-1 configuration, vastly similar to the ITA A330-200.

Final Thoughts

If you have plans to go to Europe this year and have a stash full of American Express Points, LOT Polish Airlines has released plenty of award space to Aeroplan. On some days, there happens to be up to 4 seats, while on other days, these can be as low as one. There are still some dates left for peak summer, so make sure to take a look.
