The Best Coffee In Aden, Yemen 🇾🇪

Intro

Sorry to say, but I am one of those people who just cannot function without coffee. I am one of those people who pound 500mg of caffeine a day in order to get through it, and with that, I have tried many different coffees from around the world.

But you know what? I think I have found my new favorite coffee, not just in Aden, but potentially ever.

American Machine/Aden Beans

After polishing off the American version of Shake Shack, we headed for a brisk walk around the rest of Aden Mall before stumbling upon a coffee shop that looked like it could fit right in the heart of Beverly Hills.

I mean, honestly, could this not be on the street somewhere in Beverly or New York? How nice IS THIS??? Faux marble tables, beautiful chandelier-like decorations? Polished green suede chairs? You mean the media lied to us??

I am not detracting from the humanitarian crisis in Yemen; I am simply adding that there are two sides to a story. A lot of the locals cannot afford to go here, so this is a post directed towards tourists primarily.

How about this for a coffee shop? I could be a NOMAD here

Okay, enough about ambiance, I'm not some influencer who lives in Los Angeles (okay, I might be 😅).

We headed up to the counter to order a cup of coffee, and of course, they had all of the options you could imagine. Did you know the mocha drink (and name) actually came from Yemen? Anyways, I placed an order for my cappuccino and checked out this beautiful coffee machine they had.

Not only that, they had drip coffee and Turkish coffee available as well. Wow...

What a beautiful machine, wow.

After a few minutes, my 2$ cappuccino (quite expensive for here) was brought out to me as if it was a creation from God. Talk about a beautiful cup of coffee.

Gobsmacking.
Gobsmacking.

I will tell you this: this was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had in my life. You can tell it had that upscale texture from it, while having the right amount of caffeine, and simultaneously having that local taste. It was so good that I ended up queuing up outside the mall the day before leaving because I was having withdrawals, haha.

Final Thoughts

Mate, if you are looking for a good cup of coffee in Aden, Yemen (which I know so many of you are because it is such a tourist hotspot), you must visit Aden Mall and find this coffee shop. It's impossible to miss, as it looks like it could be in Los Angeles. However, it offers some of the best coffee you will ever have in your life. No classic Yemeni 50-50 motto, this is a 100% guarantee!
