Pegasus Airlines A321Neo Economy: Initial Thoughts

Intro
For the next portion of my trip over to Syria, I had the opportunity to try out a brand new airline on not one, but two different routes. Having flown over 140 airlines in the past, I was excited to see what Pegasus would be like.
Well, aside from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, I was really impressed with Pegasus Airlines and what they offer onboard. Let's jump into these initial thoughts, and I will have a full review in the future!
Baggage Allowance
The number one aspect I want to point out is that while Pegasus might be a low-cost carrier, they are not as stringent on the baggage allowance compared to the likes of FlyJinnah (my gosh). Checking in at the counter in Athens, I was pleased to find that while the cutoff for my baggage was 7kg (carry-on), my bag weighed 9 kg, and there was no issue whatsoever.

A welcome surprise, honestly.
The Seat/Cabin
Stepping onboard the cabin, I knew I had lucked out for not just one, but both of my flights. Seats do cost on Pegasus, and seeing that it was only 12 extra Euros to sit in the 3rd row back from the front, I decided that was good value for money.
I found the seat to be basic, but functional. Sure, this is going to be something like Turkish Airlines or Qatar Airways, but then again, the price here is much cheaper... I am 6 feet flat, and with no middle seat occupied, it worked out perfectly for me.

I mean, you can say goodbye to all realms of luxury as it might remind you of Spirit, but at least there are overhead vents...
IFE
While Pegasus doesn't offer wifi on any of their aircraft, I was originally very excited when I saw that in-flight entertainment was offered on my second flight over to Beirut. For some odd reason, my first flight had broken IFE...
There were some options onboard, no more than 30 probably, but still better than nothing.

However, what I failed to realize is that watching these movies actually costs money. I mean, fair enough for an LCC, but surely at 3.99, you could just buy any movie in the world before and download it?

It did come with a 15-minute preview, so that was a nice addition when I couldn't sleep on the way over to Beirut (I mean, yeah, we are landing into a literal warzone).

Buy On Board Menu
Located in the seatback pocket, as well as online, there was a buy-on-board menu featuring a wide array of options. Anything from sandwiches to a delicious-looking chicken Milanese. While the food looked good, I found the prices to be a little bit on the high side, as well as the fact that I had just eaten in Istanbul...

Next time, I am having the chicken Milanese/schnitzel, as I could smell it from my seat 😍 .
On Time Performance
When the time comes to go through the Syria trip in more detail, I'll touch on the full aspects of the experience. However, the one aspect that stood out to me from both of these flights was that we were only 8 minutes from both flights combined. Considering the history of LCCs, I was quite impressed by this number for two nighttime flights...

Final Thoughts
During my trip over to Beirut, I really enjoyed my two flights with Pegasus Airlines. For the price point that they offer, this is certainly a carrier that I would look to fly again on shorter routes. Now, if the options to London were Pegasus or Turkish Airlines and they were the same cost, I would obviously choose Turkish Airlines, but Pegasus is fine.
