Intro
Update: Turkish Airlines has released the full terms and conditions, which I have included below.
Woah... I did not see this coming...
Just a few days ago, I wrote about how JetBlue was offering a whopping 350,000 Bonus Miles if you hit up 20 different destinations by year's end. After SAS, Etihad, and JetBlue, there is a new airline shaking it up, and this time it is the Turkish Star Alliance Carrier.
Keep in mind that official info has not come out yet, but I will update it as it does...
What We Know
Yesterday, I got a message from some guy on Reddit (lol) informing me about an upcoming Turkish Airlines challenge to win 1 million miles. At first I thought, "you must be joking", but it seems to be true after checking around a bit...
Turkish Airlines has just officially announced what the terms and conditions are, and they are as follows:
Miles&Smiles members who fly to 6 continents with Turkish Airlines will be awarded 1,000,000 Miles..
Ticketing and travel must take place between June 27, 2025, and October 27, 2025.
The list of countries and their corresponding continents is published in the campaign table above.
Only arrival destinations will be considered for campaign completion. Departure points and transit stops will not count toward completion.
Award tickets, corporate agreement bookings, staff tickets, and special passenger segment bookings (e.g., medical, seafarer, student) are excluded from the campaign.
Tickets purchased using a promo code are excluded from the campaign.
Miles will be credited to members' accounts between November 1–15, 2025.
Only itineraries originating from or transiting through Türkiye are eligible. Intra-regional direct flights are not eligible.
The promotion is valid only on scheduled flights operated by Turkish Airlines. Codeshare flights and flights operated by Star Alliance partner airlines are not eligible.
Flights must be credited to the member’s Miles&Smiles account before travel. Retroactive mileage claims will not be accepted.
Only tickets issued during the campaign’s ticketing period are eligible for changes.
Tickets may be issued through Turkish Airlines’ official channels: turkishairlines.com, the mobile app, sales offices, call center, or authorized agencies.
Turkish Airlines does not guarantee that all listed destinations will remain active during the campaign period. Routes may be subject to suspension due to operational reasons.
The Miles awarded under this campaign are not Status Miles and cannot be used toward membership tier upgrades.
In all matters not explicitly addressed here, Miles&Smiles Terms and Conditions shall apply.
Turkish Airlines reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the campaign, including its terms, definitions, and any other related information.

It seems that everyone who completes the challenge will receive 1 million bonus miles, not just a select few...
Could This Be Worth It?
Let's face it: the Miles&Smiles program isn't what it once was, but there are still some very attractive rates to be had around the world. Whether you are looking to fly in Business Class from Geneva to New York for 45,000 miles+365 USD (LX) or around Asia for 35K in Business Class, there are some really good redemptions to be had.
As an example, this can be done for about 3700 USD at the absolute lowest, while more routings can be done for about 4000. 4000 USD for 1 million miles might be worth it, but is sitting in economy for that amount of time worth it? That is up to you...
Anyways, here is a quick sample itinerary I came up with:
LAX-IST-CAI
CAI-IST-SYD (stop in KUL)
SYD-IST- DAM (stop in KUL)
DAM-IST-ATH
ATH-IST-GRU
GRU-IST-LAX
Final Thoughts
While this isn't official as of yet, reports have been circulating about a potential challenge on Turkish Airlines where passengers will receive 1 million bonus miles after hitting all six continents. Details remain scarce, but the Turkish Airlines website has loaded some information. Let's see how this pans out.
