Korean Air Getting New First Class
Intro
While I know just about every other blog has written about this today, Korean Air will be debuting a new first class in the not too distant future (2028). Korean Air has laregly been uncompetitive in the First Class market to Asia, and I think the airline is now realiziing that there is potential to be had after the merger...
The Details
Korean Air, the flag carrier of South Korea, currently has three types of planes featuring First Class: the 777-300ER, the A380-800, and the 747-8. These fly from Seoul Incheon to multiple destinations in the US, Frankfurt, Paris, and London.
Well, there have been rumors that Korean Air will soon be "out with the old and in with the new" as they look to revolutionize their first-class offering. At the moment the details remain scarce surrounding which product they will install, but it seems that First Class is going to be added to A350s and 787s as well.

With multiple airlines doing away with First Class, it's interesting to see that Korean Air is investing in more first-class seats on their aircraft. There aren't many carriers that operate a First Class product on A350s and 787s, with the two coming to mind being Lufthansa, and Starlux, so only time will tell if Korean Air decides to make the cabin more like a proper first class or a business class+.
Final Thoughts
Korean Air has decided that they will be releasing a new first-class product come 2028. While details remain scarce at this time, it seems like first class will not only be on the 747s and A380s, but also on the A350s and 787s. This is an exciting look for the airline, and I personally cannot wait to see what they come up with!
