JetBlue's New Challenge: Up To 350K Bonus Miles: WOW

Intro

Throughout the past year, we have seen some pretty cool bonuses being offered to passengers who want to gain some bonus miles. What started with SAS giving out 1 million miles to those who fly 15 Skyteam carriers to the pesky Etihad challenge, we now have the first major* US challenge. If you have time on your hands, this might be quite lucrative...

The Details

Yesterday, June 24th, JetBlue announced its latest "promo challenge," detailing that those completing the following will receive the following prizes:

  • Fly to 15 JetBlue destinations, and earn 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points

  • Fly to 20 JetBlue destinations, and earn an additional 200,000 bonus TrueBlue points

  • Fly to 25 JetBlue destinations, and earn Mosaic elite status for 25 years

As this is in light of JetBlue celebrating its 25th anniversary, those who do decide to push it all the way to 25 destinations will receive JetBlue Mosaic 1 status for 25 years, if the airline is still around...

I Wish I Could Do This

As someone who has plenty of time on their hands come the weekends, this would be a fantastic opportunity to rack up 350,000 miles. Considering that connecting airports do count, and JetBlue does fly to quite a few destinations on the East Coast, you could easily get 20 destinations done in about 4 days of butt in seat.

Now, should you do it? Put it this way: if you have time on your hands and you are eyeing a redemption in the future, this could work out. Additionally, if you already fly JetBlue often, that might bring down the number of destinations left, making it easier for you to complete.

Keep in mind that JetBlue used to have awards on Japan Airlines First Class for 150K Miles One-Way. Considering you could probably get this deal done for under 2K with some research and connections, look to do this come October when fares are cheaper (must complete by December 31st).

Final Thoughts

JetBlue has just announced a pretty good promo, and it might be worth checking it out. With the airline currently struggling to make money, and miles becoming more useless in general 🥴, if you are able to hit 20 destinations, you might be able to get some good use out of 350,000 miles for the year after.

Ultimately, I imagine that JetBlue will fully merge with United. Will those miles transfer, as well, with status? Who knows...
