Intro
Sometimes I wonder with this latest generation (myself included) if intelligence in the United States has just flown out of the window, and perhaps landed on Mars. No, really, this might just take the cake.
What Happened
6 days ago, a 23-year-old man was supposed to board Spirit Airlines flight 2145 from Detroit to Los Angeles onboard an A321Neo. Everything was running smoothly for the flight, it was supposed to push back on time, etc, until a man named John Charles Robinson showed up at the gate late for boarding.
At this time, the doors had been closed, and the plane was gearing for pushback. The airline decided that they would rebook him on a later flight, free of charge. but he could not board the plane.

Well, Mr. John Charles thought he might have found a workaround. Supposedly, he decided it was a good idea to call a "bomb threat" on his own flight, in hopes of the fact they would reopen the doors.
The airline did re-open the doors, passengers were re-screened, and the plane was searched thoroughly. Of course, there was no bomb on the plane...
Ready for the wild part? John Charles actually decided it was a good idea to call on his own phone when placing the bomb threat, so when he returned later to board his re-booked flight. The FBI has traced the phone call back to him, and he was placed under arrest.
He now faces up to 10 years in jail, and 10,000$ in fines. Wow.
Final Thoughts
If you happen to miss your flight because you overslept, don't be this guy and call in a bomb threat, especially using your own phone. Usually I say "do as I say but not as I do", but now "it's do as I say and as I do". This is seriously bewildering.
