As Konrad mentioned in a previous post, a new author is coming onboard and that person is me!
Hello! Sawasdee Krub! Please allow me to officially introduce myself, I'm Alan! Konrad has actually done a very good job at introducing me in his post haha, So I will add a few more things, I currently live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I'm half British half Thai and just an overall avgeek. Particularly when it comes to Thai Airways, which has been a common topic of interest between me and Konrad.

My avgeekiness even extends as far as me becoming an Aviation and Airport Management graduate from University College Birmingham. Even writing up a profitability plan for Thai Airways as my dissertation (yes, I'm that mad!).
My life links to Thai Airways in many ways, apart from having people close to me who have worked for or still work for the airline in various departments, its also been by far my most flown airline, with my first flight with them being back in 1999! Safe to say there were a big reason of me being so passionate about aviation. So they will be a common source of inspiration for my posts on this blog.
I had hoped to put this introductory post up a few days earlier than now but some, personal delays pushed it back. But all is good now so please expect some posts coming soon! I'll be aiming to post about new updates regarding Thai Airways, as there does not seem to be much news about all the exciting stuff happening to the carrier outside of Thailand, Konrad has actually done a great job with reporting some of the lesser-known stories and updates!
I'm also aiming to post some trip reports, while I haven't travelled much in the last few years due to work and personal commitments, I have some exciting travel plans coming up for the next year, which includes Philippines and a few others that are in the works! So I am super excited to share that with you all. I also have a lot of retro trip reports, dating back almost 20 years that I am excited to share with everyone (I'm in the process of transferring all those from a hard drive).

While things may be slow from me for the next few weeks while I balance work and personal commitments, I am hoping to get some content posted for all of you very soon and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Konrad for having me onboard and giving me this platform to express my love for aviation and Thai Airways.
Anyways, I hope you will all enjoy what I have to offer! and I look forward to getting stuck in to posting stories and trip reports over the next few weeks!

Such a pleasure to have you on board, Alan. Your madness (especially in your dissertation 😅) is exactly what is needed for the aviation world. Really excited to for your posts, especially the retro trip reports, and really happy to hear you are on the mend. Once again, thanks for coming on board!
