Intro
As many of us know, the Lufthansa Group has finally begun rolling out their brand-new cabins after years of having dated products. With Lufthansa installing the Allegris product on select A350s and 787s, Swiss is also set to take delivery of its first A350 shortly.
And while there will be regional flights beginning to operate to the likes of Prague, Mallorca, and Malaga, to name a few, I wanted to touch on their first long-haul route on their brand-new swanky A350.
Zurich-Boston
As of January 2nd, 2026, Swiss plans to deploy its brand-new A350-900 on its first long-haul expedition from Zurich to Boston. The service is said to only be 4x weekly, with the previous A330-300 filling in the other 3 days per week. Coinciding with most business travel, the A350-900 operates on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with the following schedule:
LX52: Zurich to Boston departing at 17:30 and arriving at 20:00
LX53: Boston to Zurich departing at 20:10 and arriving at 11:10 (+1 day)

At the moment, Swiss has only loaded the A350-900 until March, but who knows if they will extend it or switch it to another route.
I'm not seeing much in terms of award space outside of economy at the moment, but if you can find it, look to book these awards through Aeroplan, which currently offers exceptional value on this route.

What To Expect Onboard
Considering Swiss has quite a dated product onboard at the moment, with the A330s certainly worse off than the 777s, these A350s will be welcome upgrades for all passengers. These jets will be configured with the following:
3 First Class suites, with a center seat able to accommodate 2 passengers for an additional fee.
45 Business Class seats in an alternating 1-1-1 and 1-2-1 configuration, much like the Lufthansa Allegris product.
38 Premium Economy seats laid out in a 2-3-2 configuration.
151 Economy seats laid out in a 3-3-3 configuration.
Here are a couple of the renderings from the cabin, and this represents a significant upgrade for passengers, especially in business class.

Overall, I'd say that these cabins look sleek, and not just the colors, but also how modern they are. The only thing that sort of throws me off is the shoulder harness in premium economy, as that is usually something for business and first only. I understand why, it's just annoying to put on.
Final Thoughts
With the delivery of the first Swiss International Air Lines A350-900 imminent, those looking to fly it on a long-haul route will have to wait a couple of months until the airline begins serving Boston 4x weekly. However, if you are impatient to try these beautiful cabins out, you can find the A350 flying on some crew familiarization routes during October to the likes of Prague, Malaga, and Mallorca. Keep in mind, these routes are subject to change.
I have to say, while Swiss has always operated a decent long-haul soft product, they had begun to fall behind many European carriers. With the evolution of this product, it should bounce them right back somewhere near the top.
