Airline Lands At Wrong Airport In Nigeria, Blames It On Weather.

A United Nigeria Airlines flight landed 197 miles away from its intended destination the other day. It was originally intended to fly from Lagos to Abuja, instead landing at Asaba. Firstly I'm glad everyone is safe but I'm not quite sure what to think about all of this.

Let's get into the details.

What exactly happened? Well at this moment there are many different stories being thrown out there. Perhaps the captain wanted to try a new restaurant in Asaba who knows (joking)? The captain and FA blamed the "diversion" on to weather but air traffic controllers didn't mention anything about the weather. An Investigation has started to see what really occurred but for now, the NCAA has suspended the use of wet lease aircraft for the airline, which they solely rely upon.

Conclusion

While details are still sparse surrounding what really happened, I look forward to keeping you updated regarding why United Nigeria landed 197 miles away from their intended airport.
