A Night In Paris: One To Remember
Intro
Paris is the city of love, or at least some people might call it that. At the backend of my first solo trip to Africa, I had the opportunity to spend a night in Paris, and it was one I'll never forget. Even though I was absolutely knackered from an all-nighter in Edinburgh, the second I landed, I got straight into the Paris lifestyle.
Day 1
Arriving from London Heathrow on an exceptional flight with British Airways, it was roughly an hour and a bit drive over to the Park Hyatt. I'll touch on the review of that hotel tomorrow.
Once everything was sorted out with the room, there happened to be three things on my mind: shopping, food, and a haircut. Keep in mind, I hadn't shaved in over a month, had no nice clothes, and looked like I had just spent the last month in Africa.
Just walking around Paris, it is unbelievably beautiful.
Strolling around, I quickly found a quirky little French restaurant on a corner selling Steak Frites. Steak is by far my favorite food, and when it is made the French way, it is even better. The aspect that I enjoy about Paris is that dining is more than just eating; you sit at a cafe on the side of the street, enjoy a glass of wine/cocktail, and indulge yourself in delicious cuisine.

But time was ticking, and I needed to get ready for the night ahead. Walking along the streets, I came across a fantastic barber shop. The owner happened to be a lovely gentleman, and we got into the classic barber conversation. He recommended a couple of places to go out that night as well.

Talk about looking different. I am like a whole new man!
My friend from London was coming to see me, so I headed back to the Park Hyatt to have a couple of drinks before she landed. Once she arrived, we had a lovely night. We headed out for an exceptional dinner and kept exploring what Paris had to offer at night.

Day 2
Let's just say that when that alarm went off at 7:30 am to get ready to go to Charles De Gaulle airport, my head was pounding, and I was dead tired. Usually, I would have just ordered room service, but I felt some fresh air was nice, and I headed out to grab some pastries and coffee.

However, arriving back at the hotel, I was greeted with a lovely message from United letting me know that my flight had been delayed 4 hours. Fantastic, more time in Paris!
I bid my friend farewell and spent the next few hours enjoying the Jacuzzi at the Park Hyatt as well as having a couple of more drinks.
With the delay and check-out time being 12 pm, I decided to take my backpack and head for a final lunch in Paris. There was another cute little restaurant on the side of the road, where I enjoyed a fantastic Gnocchi, a lovely glass of French red, and a very large sparkling water.

And that was it! What a lovely 24 hours it was in Paris, and one I'll never forget.
Final Thoughts
If you are like me and aren't necessarily the type of traveler who likes to spend all day seeing sights, Paris is a lovely place to walk around and go for a stroll. Stopping in random coffee shops, restaurants, and shops is what makes this city so vibrant. My advice: bring a woman, as it makes that much better 😉.
